How to Play Slots
The Game
Try your luck by choosing a slot machine, inserting a coin, and pulling the handle! At 5Dimes we offer a wide selection of slot machines to choose from.
Starting the Game
To play, select a machine from the Slots menu in the Casino Lobby. Each machine has a unique theme. The dollar amount shown beside each menu item is the value of a credit on that machine. Credit values range between 25 ¢ and one dollar.
Game Display
The look and feel of each slot machine is unique. They all, however, share certain common elements:
| Pay Chart |
The pay chart at the top of the machine is your guide to understanding what combinations cause the machine to pay out and for how much. |
| Credits |
Displays your available balance, in number of credits.
For example, if your available balance is $10 and you are playing a slot machine with a credit value of 25¢, your available credits are 40. The value of a credit appears in the Slots menu and usually appears again somewhere on the machine. |
| Coins/Current Bet |
Displays the number of credits you have inserted into the machine. |
| Last Win |
Displays the payout results of the latest spin. |
| Bet 1 |
Click the button to insert one credit into the machine |
| Bet Max |
Click the button to insert the maximum number of credits into the machine. The maximum number of credits accepted is most often three. On machines that accept more than three credits, the maximum number appears on the Bet Max button. |
| Handle |
Click on the handle to spin the reels. |
| Spin |
Click the button to spin the reels. This is the same as clicking on the handle. |
| Exit |
Click the button to exit the game and return to the Casino Lobby. |
Playing the Game
Before you can spin the reels, you must bet at least one credit by pressing the Bet 1 or Bet Max button. Click on the Spin button or the handle to spin the reels. When the reels stop, the amount you win appears in the Last Win display.
Progressive Jackpots
Many slot machines offer a progressive jackpot in addition to regular payoffs. Jackpot machines are specially marked in the Slots menu. Look for the current jackpot amount displayed near of the top of the machine. This amount builds every time anyone in the casino plays at the same machine! Progressive jackpots can build up to incredible amounts, making jackpot Slots some of the most exciting.
Charge-Up
Some slot machines "charge up" when you hit a certain symbol combination. Chargeable machines stay charged up for only a minute or two. While a slot machine is charged up, it pays out bonuses on certain combinations. Read the pay chart carefully for details!
Multiple Pay Lines
While most slot machines have only one pay line, some have three. Three pay lines instead of one triples your chances of winning! On some multiple pay line machines, all three pay lines remain active all the time. On others, the number of active pay lines depends on the number of credits you insert. To tell the difference, look for the number of pay lines showing when you first start the game. If there are no pay lines showing, the machine is a pay-per-line slot, and you must "buy" each pay line by inserting a credit.
Exiting the Game
Click on Lobby to exit the game and return to the Casino Lobby.
